Admission Information
General information and admission requirements for all undergraduate divisions of the University are published on The University of Toledo Admission web site: http://utoledo.edu/admission/.

Tours of the College of the Engineering Complex are offered Monday through Friday at 1:15 pm and the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month at 10 am. To schedule a visit, follow this link.

Direct from High School
To be considered for admission to the Bachelor of Science Program in Engineering, freshmen must possess:
  • a cumulative high school GPA of 3.0 or higher AND
  • an ACT composite score of 22 or higher (or 1020 SAT combined score).
Students also must complete successfully a minimum of four years high school mathematics (with emphasis in trigonometry or pre-calculus) and high school chemistry (physics is also recommended).
Transfer students
All transfer students seeking admission into the College of Engineering (both from outside and from within the University) must
  • have a 2.75 GPA,
  • completed Calculus I with a grade of “C” or higher, AND
  • completed General Chemistry I with a grade of “C” or higher.
Undergraduates with degrees and international students must satisfy the same requirements as transfer students.

Wondering if your credits will transfer to The University of Toledo? Check out u.select to find out! To use u.select, simply visit www.transfer.org and click on Ohio. Then proceed as follows:

  1. Click on "Guest Login" and then "Course Equivalencies"
  2. Choose "Ohio" and "The University of Toledo" as the institution you are transferring to
  3. Choose the state and the institution that you are transferring from
  4. Click on “Add Schools” and then click on “Create Guide”
  5. Choose the subject area from the drop-down box

For example, if you are looking to see if your math course will transfer, click on the subject area at your school (such as "MATH" or "MTH") and u.select will list the equivalent courses at the University of Toledo.

If the institution which you attend is not listed on u.select or if you have more detailed questions about transfer credits, please contact Chanda Filipek at chanda.filipek@utoledo.edu. Chanda will be happy to assist you in getting your transfer credit evaluated.
