Welcome to the Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering at the University of Toledo! This web site describes our educational and research programs.
We believe our program quality rivals that of the best in the country. The Department possesses state of the art educational and research facilities. Our award-winning faculty lead University efforts in alternative energy and materials research and offer rewarding research opportunities at the graduate and undergraduate levels. The College's co-op program provides real-world work experience prior to graduation.
We also believe the student-centered atmosphere of our Department rivals that of any other school. Faculty members learn the names of students and are engaged with them. An energetic Freshman Interest Group (FIG) program eases the transition from high school to college while other Department student organizations provide rich opportunities for professional growth outside the classroom. The enthusiasm and supportiveness of our faculty and students are renowned.
We hope the information provided here will convince you to visit and explore opportunities to learn and work with the Department. If you wish additional information in any area, please contact me.
