Macromolecular
Crystallization Laboratory Chemical & Environmental Engineering Laboratory Personnel Apart from the director, there are currently four doctoral students and a research professor working on various projects in the laboratory. The links to their webpages are given below.
Collaborations We have a variety of collaborative research projects with other laboratories at UT and elsewhere. In particular, we work very closely with Dr. Marc Pusey's group at NASA Marshall Space Flight Center. The collaborations include the measurement and modeling of crystal growth rates, determining molecular growth mechanisms of protein crystals and the determination of the diffraction quality of protein crystals. In some ways we functions as one large group! The other collaborations include: our work with Dr. John Konnert on visualizing molecular packing arrnagements on protein crystal faces employing high resolution AFM; work with Prof. Alexander McPherson on determining depletion zones around growing protein crystals; work Prof. Gloria Borgstahl and Dr. Edward Snell on determining the diffraction quality of protein crystals; work with Profs. Susan Sharfstein and Constance Schall on applying molecular biology techniques to protein crystallization. You will find below links to the webpages of these investigators:
