Omega Chi Epsilon
The National Honor Society for Chemical Engineering

National Omega Chi Epsilon Award

We encourage all chapters to participate in the annual Omega Chi Epsilon Award program. The Society offers an engraved plaque, at no expense to the chapter, for presentation to a chemical engineering student. The Award may be based on scholarship or service to the department, at the discretion of each chapter. The basis of the Award should be consistent with the objectives of the Society but does not need satisfy the membership requirements of the Society. It is an individual chapter’s decision if the Award is to be limited to members and/or Seniors.

This Award was established in 1974 to help chapters to become more visible and to promote the ideals of the Society at the local level. Typically only one-half of the chapters present the Award. We encourage your chapter to take advantage of this offer and to present the plaque at a department function, such as an awards banquet.

The Society has undertaken a considerable investment in this program. The Award will be a source of pride for your chapter and a thrill for a deserving student to receive. After you have selected the recipient, complete the nomination form and submit it at least 3 weeks before the date when you would like to present the Award. We hope that your chapter will avail itself of this offer and look forward to receiving your nomination.
